Top 10 Leadership Lessons from Bible Characters

Some Leaders Are Born, But Most Are Developed

Have you ever heard of a born leader? You might think some of your leadership heroes simply stepped into those roles and began to effectively lead, but you’re probably wrong.

Most leaders work at what they do. They target specific characteristics. They make lists of actions they will take to improve. They read and take classes.

This email series is one way to become a better leader. What’s more, it’s based on the best book of all time: the Bible.

Biblical leaders in the Old and New Testaments were able to accomplish more than most of us think we can. Think about it. Noah built an ark and escaped the flood. Moses led a group of hard-hearted people to the promised land. Joshua was one of the most successful military leaders of all time.

Each biblical leader exhibits specific characteristics we can learn from as leaders. These are lessons we can apply to our own leadership roles, whether we’re working on raising children, managing workers or manning a board of directors. In Top 10 Leadership Lessons from Bible Characters, we’ll identify 10 important leadership qualities we can emulate and reap the benefits from.

Become the Best Leader You Can Be!

Just as God wanted Moses, Abraham, and Noah to succeed, he wants you to succeed in your leadership roles. He wants you to be a great parent, a great brother or sister, a great workplace manager, a great board member. We know this because he gave us some great examples to follow in the Bible, starting with Jesus, the greatest leader of all.

When you consider the insurmountable challenges Old and New Testament leaders met, you have to know that God was behind them. But, as we know, God doesn’t always make things happen for us. Most often, he uses our unique abilities and qualities for the best purpose possible. This is what we see with many of the prophets we’ll be examining in this series.

Knowing that God has probably already used you for good, it’s important to recognize that we can all do better. We can learn valuable leadership lessons from Bible characters by examining what worked for them and emulating those traits in our own leadership roles.

I can’t wait to get started on this important series and watch the changes you make in your life!
